Walpole Football faced Wellesley at Wellesley High School on October 1, 2017. The evenly matched game started at 1:00 and resulted in a win for the Rebels, with a final score of 13-7. Senior Captains linebacker Danny O’Leary and defensive end Kyle Smith carried their team to victory, dominating the defense in Walpole’s end. The Rebels improved their record to 2-2. With their loss to Natick home on Oct. 6, the Rebels are currently 2-3. “We have a tough schedule considering I think we have done well but still have a lot of work to do,” O’Leary said.
