Yet another tie, which earned the Rebel’s one point on the standing’s system, was earned by the  Walpole Rebels Soccer Team on October 26, against the Braintree Wamps Soccer Team. The Wamps pulled ahead in the first half by scoring a goal in the bottom right corner of the net. The Rebels worked hard to come back, and senior Kaitlyn Bradley scored a goal to tie the game 1 to 1.  The strong defenses of both teams made it hard for the offense on both sides to get any shots on net, let alone score more goals. The game ended with a tied score, but the senior ceremony brought back the smiles to the players. Upset but honored, the seniors received a gift on the Braintree’s senior day at a small ceremony after the game. The Braintree head coach gave out flowers to all the seniors from both the Walpole and Braintree teams. Cameras were flashed, balloons and cups were decorating the fences, and smiles were found all around the crowd. The Rebel’s home field senior day will be Wednesday, October 28 against their biggest rival, Norwood Mustangs. Celebrations will continue for the seniors for the rest of the week, but for the two remaining games against Norwood and Dedham, Rebels will leave everything they have on the field to end the season with some wins.
